Effective Date: September 22, 2026
Amazing Church California respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you provide when using the Amazing Church California mobile application and related website services.
This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared and the choices available to you.
1. Who We Are
The Amazing Church California application is operated on behalf of Amazing Church California, also referred to in this policy as “Amazing Church,” “we,” “our” or “us.”
The application provides church community features such as user accounts, church announcements, events, groups, posts, comments, private and group messaging, media sharing and communication with church staff and community members.
2. Information We Collect
The information collected depends on the features you use.
Account information
Membership is by invitation. We collect your name, email address, username or account ID, account credentials, and information you choose to add to your profile. We use this information to create and maintain your account, authenticate access, and provide community features.
Community content
We store the posts, comments, reactions, private and group messages, photos, documents, profile information, prayer requests, and other content you submit. This content is associated with your account. Prayer requests and discussions may contain sensitive information, including religious beliefs or health information; share only what you intend the permitted audience to see.
The community supports photo and document uploads and playback of externally hosted videos, such as YouTube embeds. Direct video and audio uploads are not enabled in the current community.
Support requests
Our support form collects your name, email address, request details, and any optional screenshot or image you provide so we can respond and investigate the issue.
Device, usage, and notification information
Our website, hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses and request or error logs to operate and protect the service. Login cookies and related browser storage maintain your session and preferences.
We use OneSignal to deliver native app notifications, together with Apple’s Push Notification service on iOS and Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android. Browser push notifications are not enabled for this community. OneSignal processes subscription identifiers and push tokens, notification permission status, device and app information, language and time zone, and session and notification-interaction information. Your notification identity is linked to your community account ID so notifications reach the correct member.
Notification services also process notification content, which may include the sender’s name and a short preview of a message, comment, or mention. Previews may appear on your device’s lock screen according to your notification settings.
Device permissions
The app requests notification permission to deliver alerts. When you choose to upload a photo or document, the Android app uses the system picker to access the files you select, without requesting broad access to your photo library or storage. The iOS app may request camera or photo-library access for supported upload features. Other members do not gain access to your device library. You can control permissions and notification previews in your device settings.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Register, authenticate and maintain user accounts
- Provide groups, messaging, posts, comments and other community features
- Display content that users choose to share
- Deliver church announcements, event information and notifications
- Respond to support requests
- Protect the security and integrity of the app
- Enforce our community rules and Terms of Service
- Understand service usage, diagnose technical errors, and improve reliability
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use personal information for purposes materially different from those described in this policy without providing appropriate notice.
4. No Cross-App Tracking
Amazing Church California does not use personal information to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
We do not:
- Sell personal information
- Share personal information with data brokers
- Share email lists with advertising networks for retargeting
- Combine app information with third-party information for targeted advertising
- Use advertising identifiers to follow users across unrelated apps or websites
5. How Information May Be Shared
We may share information in the following limited circumstances.
With other app users
Information you choose to post in a profile, group, discussion, comment or message may be visible to the people permitted to access that area.
Private messages are intended only for their participants, although authorized administrators may access information when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, maintain security, respond to legal requirements or enforce community policies.
With service providers
The community runs on WordPress and FluentCommunity. We use service providers for hosting, authentication, security, email, notifications, support, and media processing. These services process information needed to operate and maintain the community.
These providers may process limited information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services. They are not authorized by us to use this information for independent targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.
We use Cloudflare services for website delivery, security, and performance measurement. The support page uses Google reCAPTCHA to reduce automated abuse and may display help videos hosted by Loom. These services receive technical request information needed to provide their features; embedded services may use cookies under their own policies. You can choose whether to submit a support request or play an embedded video.
External services and giving
Embedded videos and external links may connect you to services such as YouTube and Tithe.ly. These services may receive your IP address, device or browser information, and information you choose to submit. Their own privacy policies and settings apply to their services. Profile-image services may also receive technical information needed to display an avatar.
Giving opens Tithe.ly’s donation service. Donations do not unlock community content or app features. Please review the donation provider’s privacy policy before entering payment information, and do not post financial details in community discussions.
For safety and legal reasons
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, legal process or governmental requests
- Protect the rights, safety or property of Amazing Church, its users or others
- Investigate fraud, abuse, harassment or security incidents
- Enforce our Terms of Service and community rules
6. Public and Community Content
Information you post in publicly visible or community-accessible areas may be seen, saved or shared by other users.
Please avoid posting information that you do not want others to access. You are responsible for the content you voluntarily submit through the app.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the app and maintain your account
- Fulfill the purposes described in this policy
- Resolve disputes
- Maintain security
- Meet legal and recordkeeping obligations
User content may remain available until it is deleted by the user, removed by an administrator or deleted as part of an account-deletion request. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or security records.
8. Account and Data Deletion
You may edit or remove your profile information and content through the controls available in the app.
To delete your account, open your profile, choose Edit Profile, and select Delete Account. The app requires your password and explicit confirmation. You may also request account or data deletion through our support form and select the account-deletion option.
Account deletion removes your account and associated personal community content. Other members’ messages and replies may remain; shared discussion containers may be retained without your personal content. Content others have independently copied or saved is outside our control.
Limited information may remain in backups or security records, or where required by law or necessary to document compliance with legal obligations. If you own shared groups or courses, ownership may need to be transferred before deletion.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should notify us if they believe their account has been accessed without authorization.
10. Children’s Privacy
Amazing Church California accounts are intended for people aged 13 and older. Children under 13 may not create or operate their own accounts. Administrators should issue invitations only to people who meet this age requirement.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information or created an account, please contact us through the support form so we can review and delete the account and associated personal information as appropriate.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request:
- Access to personal information we maintain about you
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of personal information
- Information about how your personal information is used or shared
- A copy of certain information in a portable format
These rights may be subject to applicable exceptions. To submit a request, contact us using the information below.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, our services or applicable requirements change.
When the policy is updated, we will revise the effective date shown at the top. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website or email when appropriate.
13. Contact Us
For questions, support, or privacy requests, contact Amazing Church California through our support form. You can use the same form to request account deletion or assistance exercising your privacy rights.
